A rainy morning saw this race taken off the turf. With the scratches of Compromise, Holiday Trip, So It Goes and Vision of Sunrise, the field was reduced to six runners. Going off as the odds on choice, Slambino stalked the lead in third along the backside before taking over without urging midway on the turn. In the stretch he poured it on to win easily. Lava Cat got up for second, while Riz Sauvage checked in third.
